Sometimes it's not always that easy.
Children begin to learn to tie their shoelaces between the ages of 5-7. Shoe tying is an important self care skill. It can be challenging for children and it takes a lot of practice and motivation.
Some children may have motor or learning difficulties which may interfere with the ability to learn these skills. Theses difficulties may also put a dent in the steps required leading to some frustrations of completing too many steps and too many versions.
Some children may require OT services. Children become independent and have to learn self- care skills.
